Bob has over 35 years of operating experience in the consumer and retail sector.

Prior to LNK, Bob was CFO of Yankee Candle Company, a leading candle and home fragrance business, where he developed the finance and IT organization infrastructures to support the company’s overall growth, which included the opening of 287 new company-owned retail locations, and managed the company’s initial public offering by raising $225 million for the company and selling shareholders.

Before Yankee, Bob was CFO of Star Markets, where he organized debt financing for the leveraged acquisition of Star Markets by Investcorp, and helped company revenues increase from $814 million to $1.1 billion (34%) and operating profit (EBITDA) increase from $40.9 million to $54 million (33%).

Prior to Star Markets, Bob was CFO of Staples, the leading national office products specialty retailer, where he served as a key member of the company’s Management Committee, developing business plans and strategies, and establishing tactical priorities that helped company revenues increase from $97.5 million to $2 billion and store base increase from 17 to 350 stores over 6 years. Bob was a key member of the team that managed the company’s initial public offering.

Bob is currently on the Board of Directors of Tufts Health Plan, and has served on the Board of Directors of Au Bon Pain, Philosophy, Yankee Candle, Hudson Jeans, Cambridge Savings Bank, Skip Hop, Star Markets, and Water Pik.
